The new generation Audi TT is built on the highly flexible Volkswagen MQB platform. It comes with a turbcharged petrol engine and the legendary Quattro all-wheel drive system that in combination with the six-speed dual clutch gearbox make the baby Audi sportscar a fun Coupe to drive.
Continuing with its quest towards adding more cars from its global line-up, Audi has brought the new TT Coupe to India. A famed design icon, this new generation of the TT has been highly improved in terms of driving dynamics. While the previous generation models weren’t exactly the first choice of enthusiasts, the latest generation TT promises a lot with its dynamic new chassis technology and potent engines.
The highlighting bit inside the new TT Coupe is the state-of-the-art ‘virtual cockpit’, which displays most of the information through a 12.3-inch display located behind the steering wheel. The latter boasts of a flat bottom design and also gets paddle shifters. In terms of features, the new TT can be equipped with Audi’s MMI infotainment system, Bang & Olufsen sound system, climate control, powered seats, electric mirrors and lots more.
The new LED lights labelled as Matrix Beam, use sensors and an inbuilt camera to detect tail lamps, head lamp beams from oncoming traffic and ambient lighting to produce the right spread and reach to give the driver maximum visibility. It also dips automatically, doubles up as adaptive lights around bends and gives the new TT great visual presence. The gapingly large grille and purposeful looking huge air intakes as part of the front bumper further add to the visual drama.
